How can I change the virtual memory of the computer. If it change speed will be increase?

Now my Pc is very slow. Every day I am using net minimum 4 hours. always I am deleting recent open files and system clean and disc defragmenter. When I start to down load something from net, when I enter save command, the pc will hang and I cant do any thing. after one minute pc will back to normal and file also start to save. before when I give save command pc will start to save(never hang) file and I can do other jobs. Recently this problem came. I have doubt Its from virus? Some time pc showing virtual memory is very low. I heard Its can be change.please give me some idea about this.How can I change the virtual memory of the computer. If it change speed will be increase?

I think ur computer has been attacked by some virus.

If u wanna increase virtual memory of ur computer right click on My Computer then click properties

Click Advanced tab

Click Setting in the performance catagory

Click the Change button in virtual memory catagory

In the Custom Size option increase the size of virtual memory and press OK

my computer became way faster by changing my virtual memory. this is how to do it: go to start, right click on my computer, click properties, go to advanced, under performance click settings, click advance, under virtual memory click change, then change both initial and maximum, put 2.5 times the size of your ram on both. that will make your computer a lot faster.
How is upgraded + quicken my 2 year old Dell



1) Upgrade from 1GB --%26gt; 3GB (2GB new)

2) Use the 3GB switch

3) Upgrade from a sorry X600 Radeon to X1950Pro (used, off forums)



I can play decent games at nice settings and applications get faster :P Comp using a D 930 so a high end graphics card would most likely bottleneck system when gaming so went for the budget 1950pro ^^ Don't play Crysis though. Gonna make my next rig an AMD/Phenom though (self assemble) Keeping in touch of IT developments in the next few months hehe
