Can you help me fix my virtual memory?

My Labtop has the following:

515,440 kB ram

Operating System: Windows2000

8.26GB Free Hard Space

18.6GB used Hard Space

I tried to change my virtual memory to be able to use an application. Also, I have dial-up Internet and my computer is usually slow. I tried to change it, but now I can't use my brower to go on the Internet. Please, help.

When I restated my computer, I got this message:

[Window - Virtual Memory Minimum Too Low]

(X) Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memory paging file.

During this process, memory requests for some applications may be denied. For more information, see Help.

When I went to my control panel and clicked on System, I got this message:

[System Control Panel Applet]

(i) Windows created a temporary paging file on your computer because of a problem that occurred with your

paging file configuration when you started your computer. The total paging file size for all disk drives may

be somewhat larger than the size you specified.

How do I change my virtual memory so I can use the Internet and my applications to the fullest? Can you help me fix my virtual memory?
You need to free up more disk space on your computer.

1) Go to Start / Control Panel / Add-Remove Programs

2) Uninstall any applications you don't need or use

3) Go to http://www.filehippo.com and download CCleaner, install it, and run it. Clean your system up.

4) Check to see if you have more than 13258 MB free on your hard drive. If not search for any files larger than 5 MB on your computer and consider deleting them or moving to an external drive (thumb drive, hard drive, etc.). DO NOT move or delete system files like .dll, .exe. etc.
