Tough questions for the following reason: you have done exactly what is the most recommended ';fix';. You will have to look elswhere.

(1) I know this is an indiot's response ('cause) I have done it, but is there an ';apply'; button anywhere you might have missed

(2) Is all of your physical (RAM) actually working? It is always a good idea to test it. You would be surprised how much bad RAM there really is out there.

(2a) You might be surprised how little ';vitual'; or ';shared'; memory is available whith all the other crap that uses chunks of RAM

(3) Have you run a defrage on your HDD to make sure you really have useable room on which to use the swap file (which is what virtual memory has been called)

(4) Check to see how your are using virtual memory - using RAM or using the HDD as a swap file. Lots of manufactureres use the term interdchangeably

Try setting the Paging File to 0, apply the setting and restart your computer. Then reset it to whatever size you want. This will clear out your paging file and hopefully clear up your problem.
