Increase the swap file size and make sure you have enough free disc space on the HDD where it resides. ~How do you increase the virtual memory on your computer?
Well, you have a few options:

1. Dont run too many programs all at once. NOTE: Even though you may not have many windows open at the same time you have a lot of programs still running in the background. Press Ctrl Alt Del, on your keyboard and click the processes tab to see all the current programs running. I do not recommend you messing around here unless you know what to do!!! But programs like MSMESSGER can be deleted, and can clear up some memory.

2. Buy some more system memory (RAM), first you need to know what kind of RAM you have. THen go to either Best Buy or another comptur store. If your an online shopper check out NEWEGG.COM its a very cheap online store with all the major brands!!!
Hi

You can change your virtual memory by altering amount of resources for your computer to use for it. Virtual memory uses free space as a resource. So you can change the the amount free space reserved for the Virtual memory.

When you get to the Virtual Memory menu select the Custom Size check box. Then choose the initial size and the max size. Depending on how much free space you have you can choose what that amount of free space you want. You should keep the initial and maximum size of the paging file the same. This will cut down on your CPU access time by preventing it from constantly changing the file.

1.Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2.Click Performance and Maintenance, and then click System.

3.On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.

4.Under Virtual memory, click Change.

5.Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file that you want to change. In most computers its C:

6.Under Paging file size for selected drive, click to Custom size check box. You can enter the amount of memory you would like to reserve for Virtual memory by entering the initial and maximum size.

7.Click Set

Hope this helps!
