One would normally let Windows decide for you, but I prefer to set it at between 2X or 3X of your physical memory, so if you have 512MB of memory, then I would set the VM to around 1250MB, it doesnt have to be exactHow many MB if virtual memory should I have my computer set at?
Normally they say 2x your ammount of Physical RAM
128 mb would be 256mb
256 mb would be 512mb
512 mb would be 1 gb
1 gb would be 2 gb
etc
