PC games have faulty graphics? Help!!!! WILL CHOOSE A BEST ANSWER!?

It's happening on both my games Spore and Portal, so it's not just scratched discs.



The graphics seem normal at first, but gradually (within a minute or so) the objects are sort of distorted.... it's hard to describe. You can tell what they are etc, but lines come off the images more and more, until the game crashes entirely and the computer restarts itself.



With portal, it said: 'Internal driver error at present. You're likely out of OS paged pool memory'

I've clicked run, typed msconfig and disabled unnecessary programs, but it's made no difference. I've also changed the initial size of virtual memory to the maximum size, but again no difference.



The answer to a question similar to this was to turn the graphics down, but i don't know how to do this.

Ok, to turn the graphics quality down, there is usually a graphics option in the Options menu.

its happend too me before when i tried playing zeno clash. reinstalling the game should work if not i would contact steam or valve about your problem
