How to make your computer faster?

is there a way i can make my computer faster ive tried these methods: disk fragment, disk cleanup, making start-up faster, virus scan, ccleaner, deleting temporary files, changed the virtual memory to the recommened choice. does anyone know any other ways i can fix it?How to make your computer faster?

Add more memory ?
try strappin a rocket to it, it will go much faster
transfer files onto external drive, so ur hard drive frees up
Add RAM, if you know how place a new processor, um yeah close unneeded background programs
if you have a PC (windows) uninstall any any programs you don't need.

if all else is lost just get a quicker processor
run different types of virus scans
If you want to spend more money get a faster CPU and/or more RAM. Deleting temp files makes it slower because it will have to load those files again.
The answer is More ram or a faster processor
Reformat, add more memory, upgrade other parts (CPU, GPU, etc), perhaps look into overclocking your CPU.
You need a fragment programme. Once your computer is de-fragmented it'll be easy as pie to use. :)

if its really slow then get a new computer.
don't use anything free for virus scans and spyware. get more ram.. more hard drive space. uninstall unneeded software. close running programs your not using. close proccesses that are using too much cpu time. if they are not being used by you...

if the computer is older now and you are using a lot of programs consider upgrading the RAM but otherwise it could be a lot of different things

make and model of computer, programs in regular use and anything installed that hasn't been used for a while e.g. anti virus, office productivity software (microsoft office etc.) anything like that, operating system used (including service pack edition) etc...

it depends on how much RAM you have. my laptop has 512 MB of RAM, yet 80GB of memory and its slow as sh!t.

computer 101:

your computer uses up the RAM before it uses the memory on your computer. what you can do it go to an electronics store (such as circuit city or staples) and have your computer series/model# with you, and have someone there find the right memory piece you'd need to install into your computer. that will help your computer go faster.
go to your start menu, hit run,, type in msconfig, hit your services tab %26amp; check hide all microsoft services. from there you can see all the non-essential stuff going on %26amp; uncheck what you don't need. Also go to your startup tab %26amp; uncheck everything you don't want to be running in the background when you boot your pc
External hard drive, and defrag before moving them.
Try these tips :



- Get a registry cleaning utility and clean your windows registry.



- Remove unwanted programs that load up when you start your OS.



- Use utilities which go easy on system resources. For example use winamp instead of (say) windows media player.



- avoid running too many applications at once.



- dont have too many windows open



and, Run Spybot Search and Destroy. You probably have a bunch of malware on your computer. Especially if you do a lot on myspace.
Faster which way booting up or running in general

Increase the ram. reduce the amount of programmes that start up when windows starts. keep desktop icons minimum.

as above plus better video card, faster hard drive (RPM and seek time) better CPU.



the first choice doesnt cost a lot of money second starts to get expensive

If not, the ccleaner is not a best one for registry.
