URGENT please help, im low in memory?

how do i increase the size of virtual memory, when i go 2: start-mycomputer-system-advanced-advance?- it comes up with a window (http://www.codinghorror.com/blog/ima...s , and it says initial and maxmimum size, mine says 256 - its set to 256 on mine, is it possible to change the maximum to 1000 or more IF POSSIBLE???URGENT please help, im low in memory?

Right-click My Computer, select ';Properties.'; Go to Advanced, and click ';Settings'; under the Performance section.



In the window that pops up, click the ';Advanced'; tab, go down to the bottom, and click ';Change.';
